Day 1Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will be waiting to greet you. Enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in Kampala, the vibrant capital and largest city of Uganda. The journey to your hotel will take approximately one hour.

Day 2Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

Today, you're heading to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting two-hour rhino trekking experience. Here, you'll track rhinos in their natural habitat, observe their behaviors up close, and learn about conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures. Keep an eye out for other wildlife such as Uganda kobs, oribis, and waterbucks.

Arrive at the national park in the early evening, where you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at your safari lodge.

Day 3Explore Murchison Falls National Park

Discover the vast wilderness of Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP), Uganda's largest nature reserve and home to the iconic Big Five. Join a knowledgeable ranger for an exciting wildlife safari in the morning, where you'll have the chance to see elephants, buffalos, lions, giraffes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. Afterwards, enjoy an afternoon boat safari along the Victoria Nile, where you'll get up close to the majestic Murchison Falls and spot hippos, buffalos, and crocodiles in their natural habitat.

Day 4Explore Murchison Falls National Park

If you love birds, hop on a private boat safari with a yummy breakfast on the delta where the Victoria Nile meets Lake Albert. You'll see lots of bird species, like shoebills, and spot hippos, crocodiles, and monkeys too.

Afternoon options include relaxing at your lodge or going on another game drive in the park. It's up to you!

Day 5Journey to Fort Portal

Today's journey takes you on a scenic drive of about 400 km (about 7-8 hours) down the Escarpment of the Albertine Rift to Fort Portal. From here, you'll explore Kibale Forest National Park, known for its diverse primate population including chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, and more.

You'll enjoy a picnic lunch along the way and have breaks to stretch your legs. Arriving in Fort Portal late afternoon, check in to your hotel and relax, preparing for tomorrow's adventure.

Day 6Enjoy a Day of Exploration in Fort Portal

Today, get ready for an exciting adventure in Kibale Forest National Park, known for its incredible variety of primates. Uganda boasts the highest population of chimpanzees in Africa, and Kibale Forest is the perfect place to see them up close. Accompanied by an experienced guide, you'll track chimpanzees through the forest, observing their daily activities like grooming and foraging.

In addition to chimpanzee tracking, you'll have the chance to take a walk through Bigodi, where you can spot diverse bird species and other primates. Take advantage of this wonderful chance to fully experience the beauty of the forest and its diverse inhabitants.

Day 7Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, upon reaching Queen Elizabeth National Park from Fort Portal, have your first game drive. You'll traverse a network of well-maintained game viewing tracks spanning 200 kilometers, offering you the chance to witness the park's diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery.

Day 8Continue Enjoying Queen Elizabeth National Park

In Queen Elizabeth National Park, you'll have a rare chance to track lions, including the famous tree-climbing ones. Accompanied by expert guides, venture off the beaten path to observe these majestic creatures in their natural environment. Later in the day, embark on a private boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where you'll spot hippos, elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife enjoying the waters.

Day 9Queen Elizabeth National Park Exploration

In the morning, you'll have a coffee tour to discover the traditional process of turning coffee beans into delightful Ugandan coffee. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup and consider purchasing some coffee to support the local community.

Next, head to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of the park. During the afternoon game drive, you might have the chance to spot lions lounging in the large fig trees, a unique sight in this area.

Day 10Venture to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After having breakfast out in the wild, it's time to leave the savannah behind and travel further south to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, where the mountain gorillas live.

When you arrive, you'll get to visit Ride 4 a Woman, an organization that helps local women by teaching them important skills and supporting those facing challenges. Here, you can join in activities like basket weaving, cooking traditional meals, or sewing with local fabrics to learn about their culture and way of life.

Day 11Explore Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, nestled on the western edge of the Great Rift Valley, hosts around half of the world's gorilla population. Led by a knowledgeable park ranger, go on a hike through the rugged terrain, hoping to encounter these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. This excursion can be quite demanding and may last the majority of the day, so be prepared with plenty of energy. Once a gorilla family is found, you'll have the rare opportunity to observe them quietly for about an hour.

Day 12Depart from Entebbe

Leave Bwindi in the early morning and make your way to Kihihi airstrip for a domestic flight to Entebbe, where you'll catch your onward flight back home.
