Day 1Arrive in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe, your tour guide will be there to greet you. After a quick introduction, you'll be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Day 2Travel from Entebbe to Kibale National Park

With a population of approximately 1,500 chimpanzees, Kibale National Park in Uganda is renowned as one of the best places in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Additionally, the park is home to 12 other primate species, including rare red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, and L'Hoest's monkeys.

Today, you'll depart for Kibale National Park in the morning and reach your lodge in time for lunch and relaxation. In the early afternoon, after a briefing at the park headquarters, you'll take a guided Bigodi swamp walk, where you'll search for colorful swamp birds and other fascinating creatures.

Day 3Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its vast wildlife diversity and volcanic landscapes, forms a 180-kilometer corridor with Kibale National Park to the north. With over 95 mammal species and 500 bird species, it's a paradise for nature lovers.

Today, after a morning of chimpanzee tracking in Kibale (with a picnic lunch included), we'll journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you have two exciting options to kick off your day:

Option one: Join a morning chimpanzee tracking adventure in either Kalinzu or Kyambura Gorge. You'll trek through lush forests, keeping an eye out for chimps swinging through the trees and other primates. There's a chance to spot elephants and other wildlife too. If you're lucky, you might even witness a lion hunt!

Option two: Opt for a morning game drive to the Uganda kobs' mating grounds. Along the way, be on the lookout for hippos, lions, warthogs, elephants, hyenas, and various bird species. After lunch, relax on a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, where you can spot even more wildlife gathering by the water's edge.

Day 5Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After enjoying an early breakfast, you'll check out from the hotel and begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The route will take you through the picturesque southern sector of Ishasha, known for its unique tree-climbing lions. You'll have a picnic lunch along the way. In the late afternoon, you'll reach your lodge in Bwindi.

Day 6Discover the wonders of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, you'll go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Alongside these majestic creatures, you'll also encounter colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, turaco hornbills, and various bird species.

After receiving a briefing from the park rangers, you'll set off on a guided hiking tour through the rugged terrain, searching for gorillas hidden amidst the dense vegetation. This trek may take most of the day and requires considerable energy, but the experience is truly rewarding.

Once you've completed the trek and reunited with your guide at the park gate, you'll be transferred back to the lodge for some well-deserved leisure time.

Day 7Return to Entebbe for departure

After enjoying breakfast at your lodge, you'll set off on a scenic drive through the beautiful hills and countryside of western Uganda, heading towards Entebbe for your next flight. Along the way, you'll stop for lunch in Mbarara and take a break at the Equator for some fun photo opportunities.
