Welcome to Bangkok, Thailand's energetic capital and the gateway to your Songkran Festival journey. Upon arrival, a local guide will meet you at the airport and arrange a private transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest after the journey or explore the neighborhood while the city prepares for Thailand's biggest annual celebration.

Day 2Bangkok Songkran Festival Celebration

Begin the day with a peaceful morning at Wat Pho, where Buddhist monks perform traditional chanting rituals in one of Bangkok's most revered temples. Continue through the colorful Pak Khlong Talat Flower Market by tuk-tuk before arriving at the Grand Palace, the former royal residence and one of Thailand's most impressive landmarks. Explore the ornate palace grounds and admire Wat Phra Kaew, home to the sacred Emerald Buddha.

In the afternoon, take a traditional longtail boat through Bangkok's historic canals (khlongs) to see a different side of the capital, passing riverside communities and local neighborhoods. Later, join the Songkran Festival celebrations at Siam Square, where locals and visitors gather for Thailand's famous water festival. Enjoy the lively atmosphere as water splashing, music, and street celebrations mark the arrival of the Thai New Year.

Day 3Bangkok, Exotic Floating and Railway Markets

Head out of Bangkok to explore two unique markets. At the renowned Damnoen Saduak, enjoy a leisurely boat ride through narrow canals to experience the vibrant atmosphere of a traditional Thai Floating Market, where you'll see countless boats filled with tropical fruits and tasty treats. Don't forget to sample some delicious Thai street food and snap some fantastic photos along the way!

Next, visit the fascinating Maeklong Railway Market, where you'll witness vendors packing up their stalls at lightning speed when the train approaches. After your market adventures, relax on the drive back to Bangkok in the late afternoon, leaving you with the rest of the day free to unwind or explore further.

Day 4Bangkok - Chiang Mai

Leave the lively streets of Bangkok behind and take a short flight to the charming city of Chiang Mai.

Once you arrive, your friendly local guide will meet you for a private transfer to your hotel, where you can check in and freshen up. After settling in, get ready for an adventure in the mountainous region of Doi Suthep. Here, you'll visit a Meo Hilltribe Village, where you can observe the Meo people in their colorful traditional outfits and discover their unique way of life.

Next, enjoy a scenic drive up Doi Suthep Mountain, where you'll climb the 309-step Golden Naga staircase leading to the breathtaking Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple. The climb will be well worth it, as you'll be treated to stunning views of the city, especially beautiful as the sun sets in the background.

Day 5Chiang Mai Old City & Traditional Songkran Rituals

This morning is all about discovering the main attractions of Chiang Mai. Explore the Warorot Market, a favorite local shopping destination filled with northern Thai specialties and everyday goods. Walk through the historic Thapae Gate before discovering two of the city's most important temples, Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh.

During the Songkran Festival period, these temples become gathering places for traditional New Year ceremonies. Witness local customs such as bathing Buddha images with scented water and creating sand pagodas as part of the spiritual celebrations.

Day 6Chiang Mai, Lanna Cooking Class

Taking a cooking class in Chiang Mai is an experience you won't want to miss!
