Welcome to Cape Town, the vibrant heart of South Africa! Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and taken to your hotel in Cape Town, where you'll enjoy a comfortable stay for the next three nights.
Please note: Throughout your journey in South Africa, you'll be accompanied by an English-speaking chauffeur guide or game ranger during game drives. If desired, we can also arrange a private tour guide for your entire South Africa trip with an additional supplement.
Let's kickstart the day bright and early with a trip to Cape Town's iconic Table Mountain. As one of the most diverse spots on Earth, Table Mountain boasts around 1,500 unique plant species, some found nowhere else. Ascend via cable car, soaking in the breathtaking views of Cape Town below as you rise through the mist.
Afterwards, delve into the city's history with visits to the Houses of Parliament, the historic Castle of Good Hope, and the charming Company's Garden. Explore Greenmarket Square, where you can browse for souvenirs and chat with local artisans. Then, wander through the vibrant streets of Bo-Kaap, admiring its colorful houses.
Optional: Consider a visit to Robben Island in the afternoon.
Note: If weather conditions or cable car maintenance intervene, we'll head to Signal Mountain instead. For the adventurous, a hike up Table Mountain is also an option (requires 5 hours and considerable effort).
Let's kick off today's adventure with a visit to Clifton and Camps Bay, where you can soak up the sun on the white sandy beaches and snap some selfies with the majestic Twelve Apostles in the background. Then, we'll hit the coastal road, offering stunning views as we make our way to Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak Drive, renowned as one of the most scenic routes in the world.
Next up, we'll head to Cape Point in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Whether you opt for the cable car or the stairs, you'll reach the Cape Point Lighthouse, where you can witness the Atlantic and Indian Oceans converging and enjoy breathtaking vistas of False Bay.
After a delicious lunch in Simon's Town (not included), featuring fresh-caught fish and chips, we'll venture to the famous Boulders Beach. Here, you'll encounter a colony of African penguins, making for some unforgettable photo opportunities. You might even trick your friends into thinking you visited the South Pole!
Once the tour concludes, we'll drive you back to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Hop on a private transfer to the airport for your flight to Skukuza. Once you touch down, you'll be whisked away to the Kruger National Park in a private vehicle.
After settling into your camp or lodge, it's time for your first game drive in South Africa. Accompanied by an experienced ranger and fellow adventurers, you'll delve into the untouched beauty of nature. Get ready to soak in the wild allure of Africa!
Wake up to the sounds of wildlife and experience two thrilling game drives: one at sunrise and one at sunset. These drives offer you the best chances to spot the African Big Five - Lion, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Rhinoceros, and the African Elephant - as well as a variety of other fascinating creatures. Every moment is filled with surprises, and you never know what incredible animals you'll encounter next!
Keep exploring the wild with morning and afternoon game drives. Alongside, join a guided bush walk led by a knowledgeable ranger to uncover smaller wonders like reptiles, insects, and birds. As the sun sets, use spotlights to catch nighttime creatures like bushbabies and chameleons.
