Start your Philippines adventure in Manila, the vibrant capital city. Once you land at the airport, your guide will meet you and take you to your hotel. They'll help you check in and give you all the details you need for the rest of your trip. After that, you can relax for the rest of the day.
Discover Manila's historic walled city on a guided Bambike Eco Tour this morning. Hop on a bamboo bike crafted by local artisans from Gawad Kalinga villages. Glide along cobblestone streets, soak in the colonial charm, and visit landmarks like the UNESCO-listed San Agustin Church. It's a fun and eco-friendly way to explore Manila's rich history while supporting local communities.
Today, take a short flight to Cauayan in northern Luzon, followed by a beautiful three-hour drive to Banaue in the Ifugao province. Banaue is famous for its incredible rice terraces, which are recognized as World Heritage Sites. These terraces are not only stunning but also have a rich history spanning over 2,000 years. Tonight, you'll stay at a cozy local lodge to rest and recharge.
Get ready for an exciting day! You'll start by riding a local Jeepney to the town market, about an hour away. Then, you'll start a trek through the stunning Batad Rice Terraces, which are sculpted by the Ifugaos for over 2,000 years. The trails might be a bit challenging with steep paths, but the breathtaking views are worth it!
After lunch at a local restaurant with a view of the terraces, you'll hop back on the Jeepney for a short ride to the charming village of Banga-an. Here, you'll take a leisurely walk through the terraced rice fields and traditional wooden houses, meeting locals along the way. Finally, you'll return to your hotel to relax and recharge.
Continue your adventure with a scenic drive to Sagada, a charming town just a few hours away. Along the way, take a break at the Bontoc Museum to see fascinating artifacts from the ancient Igorot tribe. Once you arrive in Sagada, head to Echo Valley to see coffins hanging from limestone cliffs and stacked inside caves. If you have time, explore other attractions like Bomod-ok Falls, Bokong Falls, Danom Lake, or visit local weaving shops to see traditional crafts. Finally, settle into a cozy guest house for a restful night.
Leave Sagada and enjoy a scenic 5-hour drive to Vigan. Along the way, take in the breathtaking mountain views. Vigan is a UNESCO World Heritage-listed city known for its Spanish colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and well-preserved stone houses.
In the late afternoon, take a leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride, called a kalesa, to explore the city's historic streets. If you have time, visit attractions like the Juna Luna Shrine, Pagbuynayan (Pot Making), Baluarte (Mini-Zoo), Syquia Mansions, Plaza Salcedo and Burgos, St. Paul Cathedral, Palacio del Arzobispo, and Crisologo Mansion. Spend the night at a local hotel.
After breakfast, you'll take a private ride (about 2 hours) from Vigan to Laoag Airport. Along the way, you'll visit two beautiful churches: the UNESCO-protected San Agustin Church (known as Paoay Church) and St. William's Cathedral (also called Laoag Cathedral).
Once you arrive in Manila, you'll be transferred to your hotel, where you can spend the rest of the day as you like. You might want to take a stroll along the scenic Manila Baywalk, explore the lively Poblacion neighborhood, go shopping for some luxury items, or treat yourself to a soothing spa experience.
Catch a flight from Manila to Caticlan, the nearest airport to Boracay Island. Once you land, you'll take a combined transfer by both vehicle and ferry to reach your beachside resort where you'll be staying for the next few days.
Today is your day to enjoy the tropical island paradise at your own pace. Start your day with a relaxed breakfast at your hotel. Then, head to Boracay's renowned White Beach for sunbathing and swimming in the clear blue waters. Don't forget to try the delicious mangoes, known as some of the best in the world. Witness the stunning sunset, a famous sight on the island. As evening approaches, join the beach party with drinks and fire shows to end your day in style.
You have another day to explore as you wish. If you're feeling adventurous, dive into the crystal-clear waters to explore vibrant coral reefs and marine life. If relaxation is more your style, consider joining an optional sunset cruise along Boracay's sandy shores to immerse yourself in the island's natural beauty.
Make the most of your last day on Boracay's stunning beaches before heading back to Caticlan Airport. From there, catch your flight to Manila and continue your journey to your next destination.
