Day 1Arrive in Ulaanbaatar
Arrive at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's capital city. Upon landing at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you'll receive a warm welcome and be whisked away to your hotel in a private vehicle. Take some time to rest and recharge for the upcoming adventure.

Day 2Travel from Ulaanbaatar to Amarbayasgalant
Leave Ulaanbaatar and venture into the untouched wilderness heading north towards the remote 18th-century Amarbayasgalant monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stop in Darkhan for lunch along the way. By early evening, arrive at a ger camp near the famous monastery. Enjoy dinner and settle in for the night in a cozy ger.

Day 3Journey from Amarbayasgalant to Uran Togoo

Begin a journey to the vast complex of Amarbayasgalant Monastery, boasting 28 temples that have stood the test of time for three centuries amidst the wilderness. Witness the morning chanting ritual performed by Buddhist monks for an immersive experience.

Then, proceed to the pristine Uran Togoo Mountain, an extinct volcano within the Uran Togoo - Tulga Uul Natural Monument. Hike along a footpath surrounded by Siberian larches to reach the crater. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a ger camp.

Day 4Continue to Khuvsgul Lake from Uran Togoo

Begin a picturesque journey towards Mongolia's largest lake, Lake Khuvsgul, traveling through the mountainous Khangai region. 

Pause for a delightful lunch break at Moren Town before continuing your drive across 150 kilometers of lush green hills, rocky outcroppings, and winding river valleys.

Pass by the charming settlement of Khatgal and enter the forested areas surrounding the lake, arriving at Khuvsgul Lake in the late afternoon. Check in to your ger camp and relish another night spent under the stars in your tent.

Day 5Explore Khuvsgul Lake

Nestled amidst mountain ranges, the stunning Khuvsgul Lake offers the perfect setting for relaxation after days of travel. Wake up to the natural serenity of the morning and inhale the crisp mountain air. 

After enjoying a refreshing breakfast, set out on a picturesque 1-hour horseback ride along the stunning lakeshore. Fill the remainder of your day with optional activities tailored to your preferences, such as boating or leisurely strolls around the lake, hiking to nearby peaks, or visiting the Tsaatan nomads, also known as the "Reindeer People." Alternatively, simply unwind by the tranquil blue waters of the lake.

Day 6Travel from Khuvsgul Lake to Jargalant
Today's itinerary features a scenic drive southward, passing through Moren and explore the Khangai Mountains. These mountains offer diverse landscapes, from rugged outcroppings of dun-colored rock to lush green slopes. Every bend in the road unveils stunning vistas as you journey towards the Jargalant Hot Springs, crossing the Tsagaan Burgas Pass. Upon arrival at the ger camp, rejuvenate in the soothing hot springs.

Day 7Proceed to Khorgo from Jargalant

Today's adventure takes you into the Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park to discover two remarkable sites - Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, also known as White Lake, and the extinct Khorgo Volcano. This freshwater lake, formed by volcanic activity, boasts crystal-clear water and stretches of sandy beaches, cradled by the Khangai Mountains. 

Nearby, the Khorgo volcano, a sacred symbol for local nomads, awaits exploration. A short hike leads to the crater rim, revealing breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and the sacred Ovoo mounds. 

As you glance back at Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake from a hill pass, soak in its serene beauty. Spend the night at the lakeshore ger camp, surrounded by nature's tranquility.

Day 8Journey from Khorgo to Karakorum

In the morning, set off for your next destination, Karakorum, once the mighty capital of the Mongolian Empire. Along the way, pause at the Chuluut River Canyon to admire vistas and capture memorable photos. 

Enjoy lunch in Tsetserleg Town, where you'll also explore the Zay Bandida Monastery, now a museum showcasing Khalkh Ethnic heritage. 

Afterward, continue your journey with another 3-4 hours of scenic driving, arriving in Karakorum by late afternoon. Dive into Mongolian history with a visit to the Museum of Karakorum. Spend the night in a cozy ger camp.

Day 9Head to Elsen Tasarkhai from Karakorum

Begin your day with a morning visit to the UNESCO-protected Erdene Zuu Monastery, a 16th-century Buddhist temple boasting 108 white stupas, nestled amidst Turtle Rock and Phallic stone. 

Next, embark on a 1.5-hour drive to Elsen Tasarkhai, also known as Bayan Gobi sand dunes or Mini Gobi. Explore the distinctive landscape of Hugnu Khaan Mountain, a unique fusion of rocky mountains, semi Gobi sand dunes, and forests. 

Wrap up your adventurous day with a one-hour camel ride along the sand dunes. Spend the night camping in a comfortable ger.

Day 10Travel to Hustai National Park from Elsen Tasarkhai

Begin a journey eastward to the diverse wildlife haven of Hustai National Park. Here, the world's last Takhi wild horses roam freely alongside red deer, Mongolian gazelle, grey wolves, and over 200 bird species. 

After settling into your ger camp and enjoying lunch, visit the park's information center and a local museum. Then, explore the park's unique landscape of arid steppe, forest, and gentle slopes, while keeping an eye out for these magnificent wild horses and other wildlife. Engage in various activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and flower watching throughout the day.

Day 11Return to Ulaanbaatar from Hustai National Park

Return to urban life as you journey back to the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. Begin your city exploration with a visit to the impressive Gandan Monastery, boasting a towering 26-meter high gilded statue of the Buddha. 

Then, proceed to the heart of the city , Sukhbaatar Square, where you'll find significant landmarks including parliamentary buildings, historic statues, and the captivating National Museum of Mongolia. 

Conclude your evening with a climb to the Zaisan Memorial Hill, offering breathtaking views over the city, followed by a traditional folklore concert by the renowned Tumen Ekh ensemble.
