When you land in Dubai, you'll meet your chauffeur who will drive you to your hotel. After checking in, you have the rest of the day to unwind or go out and explore the city on your own.
After breakfast, you'll explore Dubai on a quick city tour. Visit the dazzling Gold Souk for stunning jewelry and the Spice Souk for aromatic spices. Learn about UAE's history at the Dubai Museum in the Al Fahidi Fort. Then, marvel at the towering Burj Khalifa and snap photos of the picturesque Jumeirah Mosque and the iconic Burj Al Arab. Walk along the Jumeirah Palm Island, home to luxury hotels and attractions.
Return to your hotel for a break, then head to the pier at 7 pm. Board a traditional wooden dhow for a dinner cruise along Dubai Creek. Enjoy a buffet dinner and soft drinks as you sail under the moonlit sky.
Check out of your hotel and make your way to Dubai airport for your flight to Salalah, Oman's second-largest city and the largest seaport in the Arab Peninsula. When you land, go through customs and then look for your driver at the general arrival lounge. They'll take you to your hotel so you can relax and unwind after your journey.
Start your day by driving east to the quaint fishing village of Taqah. There, you'll explore the well-preserved Taqah Castle, which offers a glimpse into the area's history through furnished rooms and informative videos. Next, visit the Sumhuram Archaeological Park, located at the ancient fortified port city of Khor Rohri.
On your way back to Salalah, take a relaxing walk in the lush Wadi Darbat, which stays green all year round. Don't forget to visit Job's Tomb for stunning views of the Salalah plain. Then, head west along the scenic Mughsail road, where you'll be treated to breathtaking cliffs and a wadi filled with frankincense trees. You can even take a short hike in the wadi before returning to your hotel in Salalah.
After breakfast, you'll explore Salalah city on a half-day tour. Your first stop is the Al Baleed Archaeological Park, once a bustling trading hub famous for exporting frankincense. Inside the park, visit the Museum of the Frankincense Land to see models of Omani boats and historical artifacts.
Then, wander through the local markets, known as souks, to shop for souvenirs. Check out the Gold Souk for stunning jewelry and Al Husn Souk for different types of frankincense. Afterward, you'll have the afternoon free to relax or explore on your own.
