Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, you'll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, we'll head to Mount Phousi for panoramic views of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. Later, explore the vibrant night market and indulge in local delicacies.
To gain insight into the locals' religious devotion, we suggest rising early for the morning alms giving ritual, commencing at 5:30 am. Then, have a temple-hopping tour, visiting Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, and Wat Mai, before concluding at the Royal Palace Museum, home to priceless artworks.
Next, you will go to Ban Na Ouane Village to learn about Lao minority groups. Afterwards, be amazed by the stunning turquoise waters of Kuang Si Waterfalls. Our journey concludes at Wat Phabath, renowned for its colossal "footprint" of Lord Buddha.
Today's highlight is a scenic cruise along the Mekong River. Your first stop is Ban Xang Hai Village, where you can sample local whisky. Next, you will visit Ban Xang Khong Village, renowned for its silk products and handmade paper.
Our final destination is the Pak Ou Caves, housing thousands of Buddha statues dating back thousands of years. Afterward, you will return to Luang Prabang, allowing you to unwind for the remainder of the day.
Today, we'll journey to Xieng Khouang. Along the way, we'll make stops to admire scenic spots or visit hill tribal villages, depending on your preferences.
Our next destination is the fascinating Plain of Jars. At Plain of Jars Site 1, you'll encounter 334 stone jars scattered across the ground, along with fragments of ancient stone jars. We'll also explore a nearby limestone cave, offering insights into ancient history. Take the opportunity to observe local life, surrounded by picturesque rice paddy fields and grazing cows.
After breakfast, we'll immerse ourselves in the local lifestyle with a visit to the Central Market. Then, we'll explore various historical sites, including the UXO MAG Exhibition Room, Plain of Jars Sites 2 and 3, and villages inhabited by the Tai Dam and Lao Leum people. These stops offer insights into Laotian history and provide picturesque views.
Following lunch, our journey continues to the old capital of Muang Khoun and nearby villages, where we'll encounter the Hmong hill tribe and Tai Dam people.
Today, we'll fly to Vientiane and check into our hotel before our tour of the capital city. Our first stops are two iconic Wats: Wat Sisaket, renowned for its diverse Buddha statues, and Wat Prakeo, home to the famous Emerald Buddha statues.
Next, we'll visit the Patuxay Monument, often referred to as Vientiane's Arc de Triumph, and the That Luang Stupa, also known as the Pha That Luang, which serves as the national symbol of Laos.
Catch an early morning flight to Pakse. Pause at Tateng Village to witness the local tea and coffee-making process. Then, venture further to explore the scenic Boloven Plateau Area, culminating in a visit to Tad Lo Waterfall in Saravanh Province. Take in the mesmerizing views and immerse yourself in the natural beauty. After exploring Alak, Nge, and Katu villages, we'll head back to town in the afternoon.
After breakfast, visit the ancient Ruins of Wat Phu, nestled atop a mountain and boasting a rich archaeological history. Appreciate the well-preserved altar within this Khmer temple complex. Then, head to the peaceful 4,000 Islands Region and Khong Island to relax in nature.
Start your day with countryside sightseeing before sailing around Khong Island and visiting the Liphi Waterfall. Journey south to witness the stunning Khone Falls at Ban Nakasang. Return to Pakse by late afternoon.
Take advantage of your final moments in Laos before heading to the airport for your return flight home.
