10-Day Golden Triangle with Avatar Mountains

In the morning, leave your hotel in Shanghai and head to Xitang Ancient Town, about 1.5 hours away. Enjoy a scenic boat ride along the canals in this charming town dating back to 771 B.C.

Later, transfer to Shanghai airport for your flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, your local guide will greet you at the airport and accompany you to your hotel.

Zhangjiajie is famous for its stunning scenery, attracting tourists from all over the world. Today, after breakfast, we'll head to the Wulingyuan Scenic Area for a full day of exploration. We'll start by taking the Bailong Elevator up to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, which inspired the movie Avatar with its towering pinnacles. 

Then, we'll hop on a shuttle bus to the Tianzi Mountain Natural Reserve to see iconic sights like the First Bridge Under the Sun and Fairy Maiden Presenting Flowers. After a cable car ride down, we'll finish our tour at the scenic Ten-mile Gallery, surrounded by beautiful peaks and a peaceful stream.

Don't miss the crystal-clear waters of Zhangjiajie! We'll take a short drive to Baofeng Lake, a tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by mountains. A boat ride here is the perfect way to soak in the stunning scenery.

In the afternoon, we'll visit Tianmen Mountain, known as "heaven's gate mountain" for its massive natural cave halfway up. We'll ride the 7,455-meter cable car, which was the longest in the world until 2021, to reach the top in just 30 minutes.

After our unforgettable time in Zhangjiajie, we'll head to the airport for our flight to Xi'an.

While Zhangjiajie is famous for its natural beauty, Xi'an is known for its incredible archaeological discovery: the Terracotta Warriors. These life-size clay soldiers were made over 2,200 years ago to guard Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife.

After seeing the Terracotta Army, explore the lively Muslim Quarter, where you can try unique snacks and learn about Muslim culture.

Then, visit the ancient Drum Tower and enjoy traditional folk music. In the evening, consider attending the Tang Dynasty Show to experience music and dance from ancient China.

Start your morning with a Tai Chi session, where you'll learn the basics of this ancient Chinese martial art from a master. It's both fascinating and calming.

Then, hop on a bicycle and ride along the Ancient City Wall, the largest and most well-preserved wall in China.

In the afternoon, board a high-speed train to Beijing, a journey of about 4.5 to 6 hours. Upon arrival, your private guide will meet you and accompany you to your hotel.

Start your sightseeing in Beijing at Tiananmen Square, a massive plaza surrounded by important buildings like the Great Hall of the People and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. Walk across the square to reach the Forbidden City, once the imperial palace and now a museum showcasing China's rich history. Next, explore the Summer Palace, a beautiful retreat for emperors during the hot months, featuring lovely temples and gardens.

In the evening, you might enjoy watching a Kung Fu Show for an extra fee, a thrilling way to end your day in Beijing.

Begin your day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, where ancient emperors prayed for good harvests. Then, take a 2-hour drive to Mutianyu, a stunning section of the Great Wall of China. With fewer crowds, it spans 1.4 miles and offers 22 watchtowers with breathtaking views of the wall winding through the mountains. Don't forget to capture some photos to share with your family and friends!
