Welcome to China! Once you arrive in Beijing, head to your hotel to check in and unwind. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, or take a short walk to explore the nearby area and get a feel for the vibrant local culture.

Kick off your day at Tiananmen Square, an important role in modern Chinese history, where you'll see iconic landmarks like the Monument to the People's Heroes and Tiananmen Tower.
Then, step into history at the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace filled with grand halls, intricate architecture, and fascinating stories of China's emperors.
Wander through Beijing's hutongs, where ancient lanes hold stories of the city's past and present. Your guide will take you to former residences of notable historical figures, followed by a Peking opera demonstration with a traditional local drink.

Day 3Mutianyu Great Wall

After breakfast, drive to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall (approx. 2 hours). Take the cable car up and follow your guide along the wall, learning about its history while taking in the scenery.
Later return to the city, stop for photos at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube, then visit a nearby pearl store.

Day 4Morning in Beijing, High-Speed Train to Xi'an

Begin the morning at a local market, then proceed to the Temple of Heaven. This UNESCO site was once used for Ming-dynasty harvest ceremonies and is now a public park where residents gather for morning exercises.
Afterwards, board the high-speed train to Xi'an. Upon arrival, your local guide will meet you at the station and assist with hotel check-in.

Day 5Xi'an: Terracotta Warriors & Bronze Chariots

Visit the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warriors & Horses, an underground army created over 2,000 years ago to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. Each warrior, horse, and chariot is uniquely sculpted, showcasing the artistry and military power of ancient China. Next, explore the Bronze Chariots Exhibition, featuring intricately detailed half-size chariots that offer insight into the emperor's lavish burial.
Afterwards, return to the city and explore Muslim Street, where the aromas of spices and grilled meats fill the air. Sample a variety of local flavors along the way.

Day 6Xi'an to Chengdu by High-Speed Train

Take the high-speed train to Chengdu (approx. 4 hours). Upon arrival, your guide will meet you at the station and assist with hotel check-in.
The remainder of the day is free. Kuanzhai Alley and Jinli Ancient Street are recommended for their traditional architecture and local snack options.

Day 7Chengdu's Pandas, Hotpot & Tea

Start the morning at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The pandas are most active around 8:30 am, offering a better chance to see them eating, playing, and climbing. Panda cubs may also be visible depending on the season.
At noon, enjoy a Sichuan hotpot meal featuring bold, spicy flavors. Afterwards, visit Wenshu Monastery, a Buddhist temple with red walls, bamboo-lined courtyards, and a peaceful atmosphere. Take a seat inside with a cup of gaiwan tea and observe the local pace of life.

Day 8Chengdu to Shanghai by Flight

Enjoy a leisure morning until the scheduled transfer to the airport for the flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, your guide will meet you and accompany you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 9 Shanghai City Sightseeing

Begin at the Bund, where colonial-era buildings face the modern Pudong skyline across the river. Continue to Yuyuan Garden, a Ming-dynasty garden with pavilions, ponds, and rockeries. Afterwards, stop at a silk shop before heading to Fuxing Park, a French-style garden where locals gather. Nearby, wander through the lanes of Bugaoli, observing the neighbourhood atmosphere.
In the afternoon, visit the Shanghai Museum, which houses a noted collection of ancient Chinese bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, and coins.
